Accuracy is extremely high and in the experience of our founding team will usually match the performance of a medical secretary. While significantly better than non-specialized tools, like any dictation, occasional minor edits specific to context or unusual names might be needed.

No special microphone is required. Most built-in laptop microphones or standard external USB microphones work well. However, using a higher quality microphone, particularly one designed for dictation or noise-cancelling, can improve accuracy further, especially in noisy environments.

Dictately.ai works as a standalone web application. You can easily copy the transcribed text and paste it directly into your EMR/EHR or other documents. We are exploring options for direct integrations in the future based on user demand.

One dictation credit is used each time you start and stop a recording session within the app. We recommend aiming for lengths typical for clinical notes or letters (e.g., up to around 5 minutes per recording). For xtremely long, continuous recordings it is recommended to break into shorter segments for transcription..

Most languages are supported, however transcription may be less accurate for less widely spoken languages due to a reduced amount of training data. At the present time most testing has been performed for English so please let us know if dictation is not accurate for your preferred language.
